South African Pastor Commit Suicide After Sending Pics Of His Manhood To Church Whatsapp Group

A Limpopo Pastor has committed suicide after he sent pictures of his pe_nis to his church Whatsapp Group.Pastor Letsego of Christ Embassy who is married thought he was sending the picture to his lover, who happens to be a member of the same church

To make matters worse he even went on to caption it “wife is away, its all yours tonight”.

He then realised his mistake after having hit the send button with congregants expressing shock and outrage over the mishap. The Pastor is alleged to have immediately exited the group and stopped answering his calls. He was found 24 hours later hanging in his rented church house.

“Pastor’s antics have always been a cause for concern,he was always seen in the company of one of the deacons named Miriam and we suspected there was more to their friendship than meets the eye.

“Quizzed by his wife and congregants,he would shrug off the allegations and say as a Pastor he was a father to everyone and Miriam was his favourite Daughter,”said one of pastor Lesego’s congregants who refused to be named.

Efforts to get a comment from Christ Embassy Officials were fruitless at the time of going to print.

3 Nigerian Pilgrims Die In Saudi Arabia

Three Nigerians in Saudi Arabia for the 2016 Hajj exercise have been confirmed dead
– Two of the pilgrims die in Madinah and one in Makkah
– One of the affected pilgrims died in his sleep

Three Nigerians out of the 76,000 pilgrims from Nigeria in Saudi Arabia for the 2016 Hajj exercise have been confirmed dead by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Nigerian Tribune reports. In a statement by Dr Ibrahim Kana, head of the medical team, it was disclosed that two of the pilgrims died in Madinah and one in Makkah.

Speaking at a meeting of stakeholders during a pre Arafat meeting held at Makkah, Kana said one of the affected pilgrims died in his sleep, as his team is still working to know the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two others. Kana however disclosed that medical personnel had been distributed to all Nigerian camps to ensure prompt response to the medical needs of Nigerians. He noted that NAHCON had procured three new ambulances and sufficient drugs to take care of Nigerian pilgrims during the Arafat period, adding that pilgrims should not wander about on sunny afternoon because of heat stroke in Makkah and Madinah.

Over three million pilgrims will perform this year’s Hajj which starts with movement to Muna today, Arafat and Muzdalifa on Sunday, September 11 and throwing stones at the devil (Jamrah) on Monday, September 12.

"Husband Means Master" - The Doctrine That Crashed Pastor Chris' Marriage

This post by Christ Embassy.Org Online Missions facebook page is causing heated debates...

FOR THE MARRIED WOMEN AND THOSE INTENDING TO GET MARRIED, LISTEN & TAKE HEED!!

Topic: Who is a HUSBAND and What is His Role?
By Rev. Chris OyaKhilome Dsc DD

Husband does not mean the male partner in a marriage, husband means master. The reason for most problems in Christian marriages is the fact that women refute God’s definition of marriage and form theirs. They believe they are equal partners. If most women had their fathers bold enough to talk to them, they will be very successful in their marriage and they will be very happy people. Most women have never been taught by their parents, their fathers particularly and that’s their biggest problem because they don’t know who a man is, they think he is another woman.

In marriage, you have the man who is the head of that union and because he’s the head of that union, its important to understand him. You think he’s the one that needs to understand his wife and that is where you are wrong. He will eventually but you have to know the type of man you are married to and his needs. When you say you are marrying a man, you are coming under his authority. The Bible says, the man is the head of the woman (1 Corinthians 11:3) so when you marry him you come under his authority, you are not authority sharers even though you are both heirs to the kingdom of God.When you decide not to subject yourself to that authority, you are a rebel and God is not going to accept what you are doing because you are not functioning correctly.

Why did God make the woman?Making woman was not God’s original plan because after God created Adam and before He made Eve, He said in Genesis 1:31 “Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good”. God made woman because of man so woman was not His original idea. This is reality.Genesis 2:18a “And the Lord God said “for it is not good for a man to be alone..” The Bible didn’t say “lonely” but “alone”. There is a big difference. Man wasn’t lonely but alone. Genesis 2:18b “…I will make him an help meet”. He didn’t say a partner or a supervisor or a special advisor or someone to tell him what to do.I will make him someone to help him. God gave man a responsibility so woman was made to help man achieve that responsibility. If this is understood in every home then you won’t have problems.I tell people that you don’t need a marriage seminar, you need the Word Seminar.

Let me tell you, no husband wants another mother, he has had one all his life. He doesn’t want an older sister, he probably had one.Your secret is in obedience, your secret is in listening to your husband, your secret is in doing the things that please him. When you don’t do the things that please him, you take the role of a mother or of an older sister. A man loves the one he serves (God) and the one that serves him (a good wife). He fights the one that wants to be at the same level with him (a rebellious wife).

To be happy in your family and home is the easiest thing in the world, just take your role. Take your place. That place that God gave you is a beautiful place. Its a place of peace. Its a place of love. It’s a place of excellence.Every wise person listens to wise voices (advice) but he listens to a wise voice that is presented wisely. Everyone rebels against the voice that is trying to make a fool out of him. When you want to correct your husband, don’t lord it over him, present it as a wise suggestion. Humble yourself and be smart. A wise woman will always be an influence to her husband, the foolish one will always annoy the husband, make him mad, make him angry and when you make him angry, you will be the victim.

Learn to listen to your husband, practice it, tell yourself that you are going to do it because that is where your beauty is.Once you stop listening, your beauty evaporates. You wonder why you are dressing and he can’t see it, he doesn’t remember your last hair style. Beauty is in obedience. That’s where the Glory is

Russian Daldykan River Turns Blood-Red Sparking Biblical Plague Fears

A river outside Russia’s Arctic city of Norilsk has inexplicably turned blood-red, puzzling locals and prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the cause of the anomaly.

The Daldykan River near Norilsk in Siberia lost its natural color on Tuesday, as locals posted jaw-dropping images of the crimson river on social media.

Russia’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology confirmed that it had received reports of river pollution “with an unidentified chemical substance,” saying there could have been an accident at the Norilsk Nickel plant, the world’s largest producer of nickel and palladium.

The plant’s administration denied these allegations, however, RIA Novosti news agency reports.

“As of today, the polar division of the [Norilsk Nickel] company cannot confirm any leakage or accidental discharge of industrial waste into the Daldykan River, which could have affected the river’s state,” the company said in a press release.

Nonetheless, it has been decided that the plant will temporarily lower its operational capacity and monitor the state of the environment around the facility and in the affected area of the river. The company also provided an aerial photo said to be shot on the same day and showing the water was of regular color.

Surprisingly, the plant’s press service told the news agency that the river’s color right now is actually its natural one.

Local emergencies service said they had not received any complaints about the river and have therefore not addressed the issue.

A state of emergency has not been declared, according to Norilsk mayor’s office, as the river does not contribute to the city’s water supply.

Locals have been more inquisitive, however, and have enthusiastically suggested reasons for the color change, with some asking whether a new episode of The Crimson Rivers was being filmed in the area, while others have suggested that it’s high time to go fishing, as all of the fish could now pass for salmon. Others blame the mining plant, which locals call by the female name Nadezhda (Russian for Hope), saying it is having its time of the month.

Some noted that it’s not the first time they have come across such a strange phenomenon, saying that this effect occurs when the river washes out subsurface rock formations, which mostly consist of nickel and copper.

WHAT ADEBOYE IS NOT TELLING YOU ABOUT HIS OWN MARRIAGE!

The love story of @PastorEAAdeboye, General Overseer of RCCG popularly known as Daddy GO and his darling wife @PastorFAAdeboye is one that would go down in history as one of the most romantic love stories ever. PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE has not only proved that having God at the centre of your life is key but he has also proved that real men still exist.

As they celebrate the faithfulness of God on their 49th anniversary this year. Here are 20 things you would never believe Daddy GO does:
• Adeboye married twice *surprise face* hahaha...not what you’re thinking. He had a traditional marriage first then a white wedding in church about two years after.
• Adeboye couldn’t afford a ring then but he promised his wife that she will never lack anything and has since kept this promise.
• When Adeboye could finally afford a ring, he refused to buy or wear one. He also mandated his last son, Leke Adeboye
, to do same.
• Adeboye wouldn’t eat food or drink anywhere his wife doesn’t approve first.
• Adeboye prefers his meals freshly cooked daily.
• Adeboye expects his wife to fast with him when he is fasting. (We guess this saves on food expenses lol)
• Adeboye eats dinner between 4-5pm and that’s it for the day.
• Adeboye sometimes goes into the kitchen to give moral support and taste the food. He also advices on which food needs more seasoning or salt.
• At least 3 times every year, Adeboye leaves his whole family for about 5 days, no phone calls, no sex, no distractions, even his wife is not allowed around him. (we all know whose face he goes to seek)
• Adeboye used to be very fat, his weight was so disturbing that his wife begged him to do something about it.
• Adeboye started making efforts toward reducing his weight by totally avoiding fizzy drinks and alcohol. Now, he only drinks water, fresh fruit juice and teas.
• Adeboye would never leave Nigeria and is never more than a 2-hours’ drive or flight away from his wife on the month of her birthday. This is one of the promises he made to her when they got married.
• Adeboye still gives monthly household expenses fees to his wife till date. This even increases year by year as inflation goes up
• Adeboye also gives his wife monthly self-maintenance allowance (Don’t you want you some Adeboye?)
• When he is at home, Adeboye kisses his wife every morning and prays for her even before coming out to see anyone else.
• Adeboye always buys marching watches, suit cases. Everything he needs to get, he always makes sure to get her own version of it.
• Adeboye always puts his wife first before his children. Besides they will and have all left home anyways.
• Adeboye has never stopped appreciating his wife for her sacrifice over the years and putting her dreams on hold so he could become who he is today hence he never leaves her behind in anything and everything he does.

WOW! I bet you weren’t ready for these!!!

"A Governor In Nigeria Will Soon Go Mad, Arthur Eze Will Die" – Says Nigerian Pastor

We have seen many prophecies by most pastors come to past in Nigeria and we have also seen many that didn't. A prominent man of God, Pastor Emma Chris Ifeanyi has sent his new prophecies for Nigeria and for the world. The pastor predicted that soon one of the state governors will go mad. He also said that he saw affliction befalling the present Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha.

These are the other prophecies of the cleric:

1. Arthur Eze will die, there will be a bit of Ebola disease in Nigeria.

2. A train in India will have a fault that may lead to disaster.

3. There will be a little progress in Nigeria because of the saints.

4.Nigerian will be deported from Denmark.

5. There will be fire outbreak in Ikoyi Lagos state.

6. A Nigerian senator will be murdered.

7. There will a riot in Benin city.

8. A four-story building will collapse.

9. Pray for Pius Anyim’s health so God will sustain his life.

10. Before the death of Ojo Nmaduekwe God revealed it to him and the congregation prayed about it but he said let the will of God be done. Also when he saw someone getting bunch of dollars freely. After 2 days white men favoured a man with bunch of dollars.

These are just few among many prophecies he gave that manifested.

Following controversial preaching bill another prominent man of God Apostle Suleman foresaw that Governor El-Rufai will die over his plan to amend Kaduna’s “Religious Preaching Laws of 1984.”

Meanwile, some of his predictions didn’t materialize, one of them included the declaration that El-Rufai would lose the 2015 governorship election. Apart from Apostle Suleman, another Nigerian cleric, Dr Chris Okafor has given Governor El-Rufai 14 days to retract his impending religious bill or face the wrath of God.

Muslim Professor Cautions CAN, Uses TB Joshua As Example

Professor of Islamic Eschatology, Director of Muslim Rights Concern, Ishaq Akintola, has unleashed a scathing attack on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), branding them 'hypocrites'.

In an interview with Punch, Akintola called CAN's criticism of US Secretary of State John Kerry's meeting with Northern Governors and the Sultan of Sokoto 'infantile' and 'laughable'.

He added that the influx of Western leaders visiting The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos has never been criticized by Muslim leaders, who actually embrace the development such visits bring for the country and its image internationally.

“Why would the Muslim community raise any eyebrow if (John) Kerry or any other Western figure attends a Christian conference or night vigil,” he questioned.

“What have the Muslims ever said about Westerners and their leaders attending TB Joshua’s Synagogue? We see it as a good development, a foreign exchange earner and a return match.”

Akintola referred to statistics released by the Nigerian Immigration Service which revealed that six out of every ten foreigners visiting Nigeria are bound for TB Joshua´s popular Lagos based church, perhaps the most prominent Nigerian ministry that is not a member of CAN.

Adding that Kerry “did not come with a religious agenda but a humanitarian one”, he questioned the motives of CAN President Dr. Supo Ayokunle´s allegations as Kerry´s primary discussions were based on aid for Boko Haram victims.

“The CAN has a way of biting off one’s nose and complaining aloud later about one’s inability to smell. The CAN will cut off one’s two hands and still goes ahead to complain when one fails to shake hands with them... The CAN should be advised to stop behaving like the second wife in a polygamous home.”

The fiery Muslim Professor even quoted the Holy Bible in sharing his disdain for Nigeria´s foremost Christian body.

“CAN is not upholding the tenets of Christianity. CAN is deceiving Nigerians. But most Nigerians know the truth and the truth has set them free. My sympathy goes to those who accept CAN’s abracadabra. The Bible says, 'You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free'."

Mother Teresa Is Now 'Saint Teresa Of Calcutta'!

Mother Theresa has been canonized a saint today by the Catholic church. Thousands of christian pilgrims gathered at St. Peters square today to witness the canonization ceremony.

Pope Francis declared Mother Teresa a saint at a morning Mass today, making her the model of his Jubilee Year of Mercy and in some ways his entire papacy.

Born Agnes Gonxhe Bojaxhiu Aug. 26, 1910, to Albanian parents in Skopje, Mother Teresa came to India in 1929 as a sister of the Loreto order. In 1946, she received what she described as a "call within a call" to found a new order dedicated to caring for the most unloved and unwanted, the "poorest of the poor."In 1950 she founded the Missionaries of Charity, which went onto become a global order of nuns — identified by their trademark blue-trimmed saris, as well as priests, brothers and lay co-workers.

She was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. She died in 1997.

Live on..Saint Theresa!

I Defraud My Victims Through ‘Come And Marry’ Method - Islamic Preacher

Oluwatoyin Malik

THIRTY-SEVEN-YEAR-OLD Muritala Oladipupo calls himself an itinerant Islamic preacher who also attends to people who come to him for consultations on spiritual matters.

But going by the revelation of one Mutiat Azeez, who said that the self-acclaimed preacher swindled her on the pretext of praying for her, Oladipupo would have a lot of explanations to make to detectives at the Anti-Kidnapping Squad of the Oyo State Police Command where he is currently undergoing interrogations.

Crime Reports learnt that the suspect was arrested in a mosque in Ibadan on August 28 after Azeez told the police that he defrauded her of N700,000 when she was deceived into believing that he was an Islamic preacher who could help her with prayers to solve spiritual problems.

According to information gathered, Oladipupo adopted a method of proposing love to a potential victim so that it would be easy for him to penetrate her. He reportedly used this method with the victim and collected some money from her before his arrest.

When interviewed by Crime Reports, the suspect confirmed the allegation, disclosing that he learnt the method from two men, Abdulwaheed and Ola Shehu, whom he met at a mechanic workshop.

Speaking with Crime Reports, he said: “I was a Quranic teacher but later became an itinerant Islamic preacher delivering sermons. I fell into trouble when my former girlfriend asked me to carry out some rites for her to attack someone who swindled her. She became angry when she did not get the expected result.

“I knew her about seven years ago and I expressed interest in her. I collected N360,000 from her but I also borrowed her N100,000. It is not true that I took N700,000 from her. The money she gave me was to buy the ingredients that would be needed for the prayers and the rites to be performed.

“It was Waheed who introduced the idea of deceiving women by proposing marriage to them so that they could be easily swindled. The victim would be disclosing her problems which I would capitalise on to obtain money from her. Waheed said he gave the advice because most clients are not usually appreciative after getting solutions to their problems. I used to share the money given to me with the two men.”

Oladipupo confessed to being a fraudster and spoke on how the lady was taken to a river in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, to bathe in a river. The suspect also said he invited two female syndicate members, Seun and Abibat, who dressed like white witches and prayed for the victim at the river side.

“It is true I took her to Ekiti to have a spiritual bath to cure her of bad dreams. I asked Seun and Abibat to join her at the river side because they were women. They prayed for her and I paid them N10,000 each. They were introduced to me by one Ahmad who is also a fraudster based in Ado Ekiti. I knew Ahmad through Waheed and Ola Shehu,” he stated.

The victim was also reportedly taken to a shrine at Moniya area of Ibadan where a pipe was laid underground and someone at one end spoke into it, the sound of which echoed like that of a spirit at the other end of the pipe in a room.

Narrating how she met the suspect, the victim said he was in his vehicle at Olorunsogo area of Ibadan when he saw her and called her. This was confirmed by the suspect who said “I proposed love to her and she accepted. In the course of our relationship, she revealed her problems to me and asked me to pray for her and do other rites that would make her overcome them. I told her that I would help her solve her problems and started getting money from her through this.”

The suspect, who is said to be one of the assistants working with a popular Islamic preacher in Ibadan, disclosed that his boss did not know he was into fraud.

Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, SP Adekunle Ajisebutu, said he would be arraigned in court after the completion of investigation.

"We Charge N500 Per Sex": See Pic Of The Prophetess Running Prostitution Ring In Ogun

Olupinla Idowu, a female pastor and founder of a Cherubim and Seraphim church at 52 Okesina street, Ijoko area of Ota, Ogun state has been captured by officers of the Nigerian police force after her prostitution ring was discovered.

The 54 year old was paraded before newsmen at Eleweran police headquarters in Ogun state. Investigations showed that Olupinla specialized in contracting or in local words..”pimping” male customers for the girls aged between 14 and 16. The girls live in the church premises with the woman whom they call ‘mama’.

How she was caught

Olupinla met her water-loo after 3 girls were rescued by police officers.

We Want Fridays Declared Work-free For Muslims Like Sundays – MURIC Director

The Director of Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, Ishaq Akintola, has called for ‘fair treatment’ between Christians and Muslims in Nigeria.
The professor of Islamic Eschatology said Nigeria is not a secular state as according to him, it does not recognize religion.

In a chat with the Punch, Akintola said, “I still insist Nigeria is not a secular state. It does not recognise any religion at all. An example is the Sallah holidays. Although Christians used to enjoy Christmas and other holidays, there was no Sallah holiday for Muslims on Eid el-Fitr and Eid el-Kabir days during the colonial days. We wrenched that from our oppressors’ hands after a long struggle.

“Another example where freedom has come our way is where Nigerian Christians compelled Muslims to operate Christian financial system with its riba (interest) which is haram (forbidden) for Muslims, yet they refused to allow Muslims to practise the Islamic banking until a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi (now Emir of Kano), belled the cat by introducing Islamic banking.

“What exactly do I mean? Nigerian Christians have been enjoying everything they need since the British took over the country and colonised it. They have the Christian common law while they object to Muslims having Shariah. They enjoy Christo-Western education while they restrict Muslim children’s access to Islamic education. Christians are free to do whatever they like on Sundays but Muslims are chained to their workplaces on Fridays. That chain must break. Freedom is our cry.

“The government supports both Christian and Muslim pilgrimages. Christian and Muslim prayers are said at official functions. The preamble of the Nigerian Constitution leans heavily on God. So, we are a multi-religious nation. It is when Christian leaders want to pull the wool over our eyes that they claim that Nigeria is a secular country.

“We must widen the horizon of the quest for self-determination. They hold Christian court or church marriage whose certificate is recognised by law whereas mosque marriage certificate is not recognised. Christian schoolchildren use Christian school uniforms but Muslim children are disallowed from using the hijab. Muslim women are denied driving licences and international passports in Nigeria on account of their use of hijab.

“There is an urgent need to straighten this lopsided system. It is not working. Nigerian Muslims still remain oppressed today because they have yet to be emancipated in the four examples above. There are more areas of oppression. But there are one or two aspects where the Muslims have been liberated.

“So you can see that it is all about struggling for liberation. It is like a master-slave affair. Those who sit on the necks of Muslims are reluctant to set them free. But we will get there whether the oppressor likes it or not. It is interesting to note that Christians know that a Muslim commits a sin each time he collects or gives riba yet they never freely allowed it. What do you call that? Do we love our neighbours?

“Do you call that freedom of religion? Isn’t there some element of selfishness in that? Didn’t Jesus teach loving the neighbour? I remember that a particular bishop from the East led his followers in a public demonstration against the introduction of Islamic banking. Ridiculous, isn’t it?

“As for the claim that Muslims are being favoured by the present administration, that is large-scale falsehood. Even Nigerian toddlers know that Buhari is religion-blind. He is not a fanatic. He just wants to fix Nigeria.

“How has the present administration favoured Muslims? The facts are at our fingertips. Take the South-West as an example: there are six states there and each has a minister. Only Babatunde Fashola and Adebayo Shittu are Muslims. The rest are Christians. Let CAN tell us if that is not so. Do you call two out of six a favour? And that is just a tip of the iceberg in Buhari’s administration.

“The parastatals are replete with Christian chief executives. But Muslims are not complaining. Nigeria now has about 35 ministers out of which only 17 are Muslims. Tell me how the present administration has favoured Muslims. Is CAN using mathematics or mathemagic?

“Personally, I believe that we are cutting our nose to spite our face in this country. We should allow government to pick the best candidates for positions in order to get maximum performance. We should not always be thinking of religious or ethnic leaning. Muslims have tried as much as possible to maintain this principle but CAN is always making a noise because of its grip on the press,” Akintola noted.

"People Know I’m Gay" – Church Of England Bishop

The bishop of Grantham has become the first Church of England bishop to say that he is gay and in a relationship.

Bishop Nicholas Chamberlain, a suffragan in Lincoln diocese, was consecrated last year by Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby - who has said he knew about the bishop's sexuality.

He was in a "long-term and committed" relationship, Archbishop Welby said.
Bishop Chamberlain says he obeys Church guidelines, which say gay clergy must remain celibate.

The archbishop also said: "His appointment as bishop of Grantham was made on the basis of his skills and calling to serve the Church in the Diocese of Lincoln.
"He lives within the bishops' guidelines and his sexuality is completely irrelevant to his office."

'Not secret'

A Church of England spokesman said: "Nicholas has not misled anyone and has been open and truthful if asked. The matter is not secret, although it is private as is the case with all partnerships/relationships."
Bishop Chamberlain's sexuality emerged in an interview with the Guardian, and it has been reported that he gave the interview because his private life was about to be exposed by a Sunday newspaper.

"It was not my decision to make a big thing about coming out," he told the newspaper.
"People know I'm gay, but it's not the first thing I'd say to anyone. Sexuality is part of who I am, but it's my ministry that I want to focus on."

Susie Leafe, the chairwoman of the conservative evangelical group Reform, said she sympathised with Bishop Chamberlain for having been "hounded by the secular press and forced into making a statement".
"All human beings have a range of complex desires, who he is attracted to should not make any difference to his ability to do the job of a bishop," she added.
It is thought no serving bishop has ever before gone public about their sexuality. The former archbishop of York, Lord Hope, said in 1995 that his sexuality was a "grey area".
The Dean of St Albans, the Very Reverend Jeffrey John, withdrew from the selection process to become bishop of Reading in 2003 after an angry reaction from traditionalist Anglicans about his sexuality.
'Process of learning'
Bishop Chamberlain said he had been with his partner for many years.
"It is faithful, loving, we are like-minded, we enjoy each other's company and we share each other's life," he said.
Asked about whether other bishops might follow his lead in openly declaring their sexuality, he said: "I really can only speak for myself. If I'm an encouragement to others, that would be great."
Bishop Chamberlain said the Church of England was "still at the beginning of a process of learning" about issues of sexuality, describing it as a struggle.
He said he hoped to be a "standard-bearer for all people as a gay man" and that he hoped he would be able to "help us move on beyond matters of sexuality".
He added that he hoped to be "judged by my actions as a parish priest, a bishop - and by the Lord ultimately".
Reverend Sally Hitchiner, who is gay and runs the LGBT support group Diverse Church, told the BBC she was looking forward to the day that a bishop's sexuality was not a news story.
"He's being very clear that he's sticking within the Church of England guidelines and being celibate. Most of us in the Church do know about people who are gay in high office," she said.
"There's a lot of discussion about this and whether or not it's going to make it more difficult for conservatives to hold their view with integrity within the Church or whether it's just a really helpful thing for everyone for there to be more visibility on all levels of the Church and say everyone is welcome no matter what your orientation or gender."
But Bishop Chamberlain's revelation is likely to cause further tension among Anglicans.

Last month 72 traditionalist members of the Church's ruling general synod wrote to all bishops, encouraging them to abide by biblical teaching on sexuality.
Last week the Archbishop of Canterbury said in an interview that he "couldn't see the road ahead" when it came to the Church's policy on sexuality.

Nobody Can Islamise Nigeria - Pastor Kumuyi

The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has dismissed insinuations that certain interests are planning to Islamise Nigeria, saying the will of the people cannot be overruled easily.

Kumuyi, who said this on Thursday in Calabar, Cross River State, also noted that Nigeria was experiencing the worst economic recession in 29 years.

The Deeper Life General Overseer, however, expressed the hope that the country would come out of the current recession, which he also noted had affected the churches.

According to Kumuyi, who was responding to questions on alleged plans to Islamise Nigeria as well as the targeted killings of Christians in the North, imposing a religion on the people of Nigeria will only be possible if the people choose to be docile.

While stressing that the will of the people could not be easily overruled, Kumuyi called for religious tolerance among Nigerians.

He said, “I think it depends on the will of the people. You cannot impose a religion on a country without the will of the people. Worshiping God is a personal thing.

“If I choose my way, so will it be. If a country is said to be going through a process, if the people are asleep and they do not have any conviction, then it becomes easy for another person to impose what he feels he has on you. But the will of the people will not be easily overruled.

“When we say alleged killing, we will need to investigate well. Neither of the two dominant religions in Nigeria – Christianity and Islam – advocate the killing of neighbours. The love of our neighbour is key here and the Islamic religion came in through Abraham.

“So, basically, we are having the same great grand-grandparents. So, we should rethink and understand that it will be good to allow the people to live together in peace and allow them to have their free will to choose how to worship.”

Speaking on the unfolding economic recession, Kumuyi said something must have gone wrong over the years but he was quick to add that the country would come out of it.

Kumuyi, who confirmed that the recession was affecting churches, however, stressed that the house of God would continue to play its role in the society despite the downturn.

“The information is now made public and official that this is the worst recession in Nigeria in the last 29 years. Well, as it affects the church, it also affects everyone.

“But there are things we still do in spite of the economy. Money is just a servant to man and it is not supposed to be the master. There are things we keep doing even when money is not there. I believe that we will come out of this recession,” he said.
